We're pleased to announce that we will be at the Clinton Farmers' Market this Sunday from 10am-2pm! The market is located in the public parking lot of the Clinton Fire Department. Hopefully we can expand our market and get some new customers.
Speaking of new customers, we really appreciate when we hear about our customers telling people about our product. There's something really great about having a dinner party and being able to tell your guests you bought your ingredients from local farmers. So please, continue to tell your friends about that great steak you had last night! Or the amazing burgers you made from our ground beef. Keep up the grassroots marketing for our grass-fed beef!
In other news, we tried a recipe for braised short ribs (from our cows, of course) and it was out of this world! It's getting cooler at night and we're definitely missing those slow-cooked dinners that really hit the spot in the winter and fall. We're going to try to post recipes on this site soon so check back. Also, if you have any favorite recipes you can send them to us!
The meat is back from the abattoir and selling fast!
Our steaks are now cut 1 1/4" thick. We also have 4oz hamburger patties, flat iron steak, and sirloin tip steaks.
We encourage you to reserve your orders before stopping by the market. It's important if you want limited quantity items (brisket, flank steak, skirt steak, tenderloin) or specialty items (tongue, liver, kidney).
Happy eating!

The weather has been getting warmer so we decided to move the chickens into their new home. Back in November we built a hoop house fashioned out of cattle panels, 2x4s, and some chicken wire. After setting up the electric poultry netting it was time to make the big move. It went well and the chickens seem to enjoy their new house and the pasture.

We found the first egg today only a few days after its estimated arrival. Hopefully the ladies will keep up the good work and we'll be able to start selling our eggs soon.
The tractor did a good job of plowing the drive this morning. What to do with all this snow?
The JD4440 is ready for snow battle.
